We’re Ava and Larissa- we are two best friends from Essex who grew up together, made it through school and university, and always found a way to squeeze in our next holiday.

We love seeing where we can go next. Our favourite memories are always abroad, going somewhere completely new, meeting people we never expected to meet and experiencing things we couldn’t have planned is what we enjoy the most.

But we’ve never had endless budgets to do it.

Most of the travelling we’ve managed to do while studying and working has been on a budget. We’ve spent too many hours searching for flights, comparing accommodation, finding the best areas to stay and figuring out how to get the most out of a trip without spending a fortune.

We’ve got very good at it.

We’ve learnt that you don’t need to spend loads to have an amazing getaway. It’s about finding the right place, at the right price, that actually suits you.

That’s where Larry & Ava Getaways came from. We wanted to take everything we’ve learnt from planning our own trips and use it to help other people find getaways they’re genuinely excited about- while building something together that allows us to keep doing what we love too.
